The new museum guide was a penguin with a clipboard, which raised several questions. He assured us the dinosaurs were friendly, the paintings were awake, and the cafeteria served excellent fish. Naturally, we followed him straight to the moon exhibit.

The elevator stopped between floors, and somebody asked whether I had a plan. I checked the emergency button, looked at the ceiling, and said we should start with the part that did not involve climbing anything.

My calculations suggest that the shorter route will save us seven minutes. However, the unexpected roadwork may complicate matters. I recommend a calm approach, a careful turn, and considerably less enthusiasm with the accelerator.

At dawn, the trail followed the edge of the canyon, where the first light touched the stone. He paused to take a photograph, then lowered the camera. There were moments when simply being there seemed the better way to remember a place.

A good decision begins with a question you are willing to answer honestly. Read the details, listen to the people doing the work, and understand what follows from your choice. Confidence is useful when preparation gives it something to stand on.

Oh dear, the path seems a little darker than I remembered. Perhaps we should bring a lantern, just to be careful. Still, if we stay together and take one small step at a time, I think we might find something rather wonderful.
